It's been a year since I took these photos - what a year it's been.
I took some time away from posting and streaming this year to focus on my day job and health.

I'm glad I did because I have since moved, my anxiety is a lot more manageable, and now I can focus on the things I want to do.
A narrow paved path curves to the left side, it's framed by a wooden fence. Behind the fence there are shrubs and small trees in fall hues - red orange and deep green - a few Douglas firs stand on the right side, framing the background. Just beyond the shrubs and trees a large river flows, it reflects grey light from an overcast sky. A large bridge stands at the left side, crossing high above the river on concrete foundation beams. The bridge leads central. To a hill on the other side of the river. It is covered in distant autumn foliage from Ash and maple trees, and dark green of Sitka spruce and Douglas firs. Another hill rises behind it slightly on the right, behind the firs in the foreground. It is blue from the distance. Above clouds form a soft white blanket over the sky. No blue peaks out. A few smaller clouds float low on the horizon on the right side. At the footstep of the house, to the left of the stairs, below the wrought iron handrail, a squirrel sits facing you. It's sitting on a small concrete wall, like a tall curb. It's a grey squirrel, with little black eyes, pointy ears, and a fluffy tail poking out over its back. It is curled forward possessively clutching a red apple, which it has gnawed a small white hole in. To the left of the wall is a patchy group of green Japanese spurge (an evergreen plant) intermittent with fallen leaves. To the right is a sidewalk spotted with more yellow and brown leaves. A brick front building rises on the right, stretching down to the left as it goes into the background. On the left the branches of naked trees rise into a white sky. In the lower right, a door is open on the building, the interior dark against the brown wood facade of the shop. Above the door a sign reads Paxton Gate in white gothic lettering. The edges of the sign are outlined with symmetrical golden filigrees. Below the title in a smaller script reads treasures and oddities. Below that a cat skeleton holds a magnifying glass with its tail over its face making that portion of the skull larger. At the bottom of the sign in small script it reads inspired by the garden and natural sciences. TBD - ran out of time

Hey! Just wanted to make an update, I know I've been quiet lately ~ I've been dealing with some health related challenges, but I'm still continuing to work on these paintings I started during my last stream. I feel like my painterly style is improving! Fur is harder to paint than people for me 😅

Took a short break from social for the holidays, but I'm back!!

All 4 kitties 💖 they're all so photogenic! Zero is the void 🖤, Leroy is the sassy black and white kitty, Dexter is the gorgeous ginormous tabby, and Xander is the adorable and furrocious ragdoll!

This is a really painterly digital piece I did for @iddaliis_ on Art Fight this summer (2024)! This is what the sky studies helped me make 💖Getting the hills in the background and the grass in the foreground right was a big challenge- really enjoyed working on it though!
