Climate change and environmental damage are real. Would you fire up an unvented woodstove in the living room? Would you idle your truck in the garage with the doors closed? Would you have your sink and toilet drains dump in the crawlspace of your home? We have regulations so people don't do stupid.

Yeah, people aren't aware that companies are among the biggest drivers of regulations. And, yes: if you can show that you're complying with regulations, you can often avoid lawsuits or minimize the cost of defending against them.
