Day 8: Attended an early morning meeting over Zoom. Finally tried that coffee shop I’ve been meaning to try! Iced dirty spiced chai and empanadas de hongos for lunch. Finished reading “Before the Coffee Gets Cold”.

Day 7: Worked on a drawing project. It was raining today, so satisfied my craving for soup by getting pho. Found out donut shop has cafe seating!

Day 4: Ran a few errands and treated myself by visiting a local restaurant for the first time. Enjoyed the Thursday night vibes. Requested more information on how to volunteer with local history museum.

I knew all this was going to happen. But nothing can really prepare you for what it feels like when the moment actually arrives. This is why we need each other and our communities. I plan to turn to them a lot in the coming years.
