The genus existed until the Miocene, but I chose the Late Cretaceous Sequoites dakotensis so I could include an enantiornithine bird. The juvenile avialan is begging for food from an unseen parent perched atop the conifer branch with a cone and speculative leaves below it. The scene is overcast with fine rain.

The cats had a really great early fall walk today.
Ginger rolling around in the grass and smiling with one of her fangs showing. Mew rolling around in the grass in pure joy, fur very poofy. Ginger and Zuko standing next to one another eating grass with their tails curled toward one another and touching. Zuko and a clover flower.

I'm so excited! The company sent me the cards I illustrated for the Jurassic Park Trading Card Game booster deck "Silent Giant" along with some other goodies! Here's all 13 cards! Mostly dinosaurs, but some other fun creatures too.

She's 2 and a half years old and this is her first time going broody on me. Usually it's my faverolles hen Toast and one of my muscovy ducks who is relentlessly broody multiple times a year. I collect eggs every day and they don't seem to care or agree with me that it's not time for chicks.

I might need to ignore so many things to keep from having a mental breakdown, but one thing I'm not allowed to ignore is Jam. She's broody and mad I locked her out of the coop for a couple hours today so she will eat enough. She jumped onto my shoulder to tell me how mad she is about it.
My broody black copper maran hen on my shoulder. Upset I won't let her sit on non-existent eggs.
