YES I DO & you don’t have to be a dick abt it.

Read the Bible before you argue abt its wording. I’m quoting from the freakin’ book. If you have an issue with the wording & titles used to describe the people, take it up with the authors of it.

Matthew 15 & Matthew 23.

Have a good day.

Jesus’s quarrel wasn’t w/ all religious leaders but w/ some; in that verse in particular, the leaders in that temple.

The analogy itself isn’t abt Jewish religious leaders but abt religious leaders in general who preach the gospel but don’t practice it.

How is that libeling when history states they were viewed as religious leaders w/in the Jewish community? Some had political positions & businesses which is why some were wealthy.

They don’t have to be for the analogy to apply. They were the religious leaders of the community at the time & bc of their position, knowledge of the scripture & wealth they were popular in the community.

Jesus recognized their authority but called out those who didn’t practiced what they preached.

The Pharisees who Jesus called out in the temple & called them hypocrites.

For their words said one thing but their actions said differently.
