Bad attitude.
If you’d kept the beard, maybe I would’ve given you money.

Yes. But can we also have T-shirts to wear that say Jon Stewart is an ass while we hand them out.

Protest matters. I don’t want to harm anyone who works at The Kennedy Center or penalize artists whose careers are tied to it. But protest shouldn’t fall to artists alone. Plus, the Trump Administration is doing a lot more harm elsewhere. We should choose not to be complicit when we can.

I have left a message for The Kennedy Center membership desk to please remove my name and address. I don’t need any mailers with Trump‘s name coming into my house. I’ll make sure future money goes to another local arts organization.

Members of the National Symphony Orchestra perform in other ensembles all over town. Look for them. Support them.

The Shakespeare Theatre and the Washington Ballet both offer access to local schools and do it really well. Lots of other programs probably do too. Consider supporting those.

I don’t know if they offer matinees for local students, but if they did, your school would have to be able to afford buses. Title one schools would need grants.

You’re intent on ruining Christmas.

Good for them.

Disney is running constant adds about a Meta data center in Iowa being a job creator. Inculcating our children.

So chicken farms have started spending millions of dollars putting in state of the art air filtration and circulation systems - because culling whole flocks to mitigate avian flu is expensive - but we have done zero to improve air quality in schools - because kids are expendable I guess.

Took the 2.5 hour tour in November. My kids (13 & 15) wished we’d taken the longer tour. Messy, complicated history brought to life and made accessible and comprehensible. Both have asked for your books for Christmas.

High praise indeed.

Poison ivy for FFS.

I think I’m feeling a little raw about this. I love plant metaphors. I use them. I feel exposed.

Why not Sumac. No one would have ever questioned what kind of tree he had in his back yard. Berries. Sex. It had it all. Bamboo is for PANDAS.

You can do worse. I believe in you.

I feel like we’ve been groomed to accept this shit our entire lives.
