An amazing interaction between a curious rattlesnake and porcupine. If only we could all just be so calm.

"Don't want any problems, bro."

"Nope, me neither."

Kudos to the awesome 3rd grade teacher who is showing her students the Project RattleCam snake livecams during class, and having the kids ask questions in the live chat. They asked how long rattlesnakes live, what they eat, if the babies and adults are different colors, and more. RattleCam.org

I can’t believe I’m watching interviews of city mayors talking about how they are coordinating with other mayors to discuss how to protect their residents FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

I know we are “used to it” but it is absolutely insane

It's Fashion Week in Paris, and also at the Colorado snake den! In this clip, watch Clover (named in 2024) strut her stuff and show off her beautiful skin and rattle.

A quick PSA to all that the movie Weapons is very, very good and delightfully spooky. Highly recommend!

There is currently (Sat 8am MT) a porcupine bedded down outside the snake den. I wonder if he'll still be there when the snakes wake up and emerge.

Watch live at RattleCam.org (Colorado cam) to find out!

It's so soothing to watch snakes slithering, especially sped up a bit! These snakes were on a mission, if only we knew what for!

It's getting cold at the den, with winter approaching quickly. The best time to watch is midday. Watch live at RattleCam.org.

Thor got his fat lip over a year ago when an ant latched on, causing swelling that hasn't diminished in all this time. Apparently it is still itchy, which is a problem when you don't have hands to scratch your itch. Rattlesnakes are problem-solvers, though!
