this year I made a homemade Advent calendar for my kids for the first time. they're too big now for bedtime reading of all the holiday stories we've collected so I took bits and bobs from the books and stuck them in pockets with sweets. they have to read aloud convincingly before eating.

Didn't know there was a book! Zhang Wan Yi was magnetic, I understand why they'd want to focus on him, but I did wish our sad dragon had more story to work with in the second half, he felt a bit short changed.
