I have nostalgia for when things made sense.

Knowing is lonely. It hurts like death.

But what we don’t know WILL almost certainly kill us. What we don’t know IS death.

So I will keep taking the pain. Seeing the maze for what it is. And hoping someday, probably well after what I don’t know claims me, that we’ll all work together to get out.

Conflict is assumptions. Ego. Intractability. Unwillingness to communicate. It’s completely unnecessary but we’ve convinced ourselves it’s essential. That it forges us, tempers us, hones us.
