I think the main mistake we made back then (and even now) was that we treated Deltarune not as an unfinished story but as a puzzle to solve. This obviously doesn't mean this game has no mysteries but when it comes to the main story, it's a big error.

I don't know if this is true but I think only like 25% of L4D was made by TRS, and Valve did most of the work. Not to discredit the work they put into this game but saying it was "From the creators of L4D" is kind of disingenuous.
