I wish our TV news agencies had retorted this so the wider population (his potential voters) knew! Perhaps they did but I missed it.

Maybe they don't want to look into whether Russia helped because a) or will show how underprepared we were for social media persuasion and b) it might uncover US involvement

And Trump supported Brexit too, we were probably the petri dish for what is happening now and why Farage says it wasn't done properly as we haven’t yet descended into that chaos which reform possibly hopes to deliver

With all of this discussion about Greenland and the 'board of peace' in Gaza (on the Mediterranean), it seems timely to remind everyone of this:

Sorry correction it was the literature prize, but a Nobel medal was still given away!

Seems to be a theme with the right, propaganda and giving away medals

Fantastic & enlightening book.

A bunch of grifters ruined the country with Brexit & used propaganda & gaslighting to do it.

Speaking of grifters, interesting fact...Nobel peace prize was given away before, Knut Hamsun gave his to Joseph Goebbels in 1943!!!

It is probably the price the BBC has to pay to not be sued, sell their soul to US tech, just as our NHS is being sold out to US big pharma and insurance giants for some provision. The US is taking us over by stealth. We leave the ECHRs and they can exploit us as they do their citizens - job done, 😕

Not to mention that it was men who decided women would not have the same opportunities as men that would have enabled women to also record history. Centuries of weak egos, suppressing those in order to feel more important, bless.
January 16, 2026 at 10:07 AM
And it was men who seemed to decide that women would be written out of history unless it was to record how land was distributed when there was no male heir or the woman was a wealthy widow (trying to trace women in your family tree in the 13-17c is a pain - thanks men).

I agree, and unless the funding model changes less people will go to uni, ensuring only elites occupy positions of power, the provate school sector seems to select for people or teaches people through trauma to have no empathy. I hope labour makes reforms and they make a difference over time.

Micheal Gove's reforms ensured this, it also devalues creative subjects and focuses on maths and English, creatives are more likely to vote left wing.

To discourage people from education. The less educated people are the more likely they are to vote for right wing parties & schools have become more authoritarian, also encouraging right wing ideology. We have adopted US uni system & look what happened there!
