He's always been a narcissistic idiot savant whose only talent was self promotion. This time he has a bunch of hangers on who are several nickels shy of a full dollar as well, which is making the whole situation that much more chaotic/worse than his first term.

It's easy enough to run an instance of one of the smaller versions at home via ollama, or LM Studio. No privacy issues. (At least so far as I'm aware)

Apple's unified memory model on their M series SOC's makes them a surprisingly affordable choice for running LLM's. When the M4 version of their Mac Studio comes out later the year it will likely be available with up to 256GB of RAM with 80 or so fairly capable GPU cores.
