2/3 I’m honored to spend the week in Oslo, Norway for the Nobel Peace Conference, which is recognizing 2024 Laureate Nihon Hidankyo, a hibakusha movement from Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This recognition cements that the nuclear threat of today demands action.

This declaration must not just be read—it must be acted on. It’s a rallying cry to governments, yes, but also to citizens, funders, and movements. It gives us the language and the momentum to push forward.

Policymakers are not going to act unless the public demands it. That’s why this declaration also calls on scientists, civil society, and faith leaders to step forward and create pressure from the ground up.
