I've been talking about this lately, as I can see it in my chat as well as when I watch other streamers. The CCV is not accurate. It's not a fair expectation to have viewers active in chat. I lurk a lot when I don't have the social battery to take on socializing.

Twitch needs to fix this.

I've been seeing that Twitch isn't counting views for lurkers if they don't interact, it's so dumb.

Sometimes I just hang out in streams and don't chat and just vibe if I don't have the energy to chat.

Totally fair. In the last week especially, I've noticed the twitch viewer number is way lower than the number of people even talking in someone's chat. I've seen like "3 viewers" meanwhile there is like at least 8 people having a discussion in chat. Its very bizarre.
