This is not a peace plan, this is a sorry attempt by Russia to succeed in a diplomatic masquerade endorsed by Washington where it has miserably failed militarily.

The worst? Time wasted drafting such a plan translates into lives lost on the battefield & under Russia's strikes across Ukraine.

The Orthodox Church affiliated to the Moscow Patriarchate: of *course* the Kremlin wants it reinstated across Ukraine: since last year, law were voted so as to close those FSB nests where priests list Ukrainian sympathizers for occupiers to find and torture them & spread russian propaganda...

Russian speakers are not persecuted in Ukraine. In fact, due to Russia's policies of acculturation against all of the people it conquered, the Russian language is still widely used to the detriment of the Ukrainian one in most of Ukraine, albeit with a sharp decrease among young generations.

Requiring Ukraine to reinstate Russian as a state language would violate the Ukrainian constitution & mark a sharp U-turn in Ukraine's decades-long work to break free from Moscow's colonialism. While the "liberation" of Russian speakers is a dear trope of Russian propaganda, it is unfounded.

Requiring from Ukraine that it halves its army & weaponry would amount to depriving the country of its only protection against its agressor. There is only one agressor in this war:

If Putin withdraws its troops tomorrow, the war is over.
If Zelensky does so, Ukraine as we know it disappears.

On territorial concessions: US seems to condone Russia's wish to occupy the entirety of Donetsk region, that Russia has methodically destroyed as a means of "liberation".

Ukraine still holds a small 1/3 of it & would be willing to start negotiations on the basis of the current frontline only.
