Hi, I'm Emma ~ a Mom, Poet, Mental Health First Aider and more.
Here I share a mix ~ including self-care and mental health tips.
Plus, climate care info and (of course!) poems.

Some of my chatty notes and relatable poems are on Medium. I occasionally share free 'gift links' if you aren't a Medium member, yet love to read beyond small talk.

My words are especially for you if you're loving, lonely or longing for a better world.

As you're still reading, you're likely like me, and like to know folks more deeply!

Here's a few things you might like to know about why I share what I do here:

I care about self-care - and trained as a Mental Health First Aider - because sadly there's a history of suicide in my family.
Being mentally well is something I've worked to achieve. So, as I feel well most of the time, I like to share triedd tested info that can help us go from surviving to thriving.

I used to feel lonely - so developing healthy relationships that are mutually supportive and genuine is something I'm also thankful I’ve achieved. In a time where many feel disconnected, I like to share about connecting in healthy ways as I know how awful loneliness can feel, and how good it feels to overcome. If you’re reading this quietly (as l often used to), and feel lonely at the mo, I hope this gives you hope.

I care deeply about caring for our shared home - and mitigating climate change - as one subject I studied is
Environmental Science. Oh, and I've experienced climate change events - so that's how come, too.

Thank you. No ads on a platform such as this can have a large, impactful effect of us buying less ‘stuff’ — helping us mitigate climate change. Plus, we save money. And time, too, as we aren’t distracted by them. Seriously. Thank you for no ads.

I feel like Fall is naturally a time to let go. Physically, as in decluttering and tidying home to prepare for hibernating a bit more in winter.

As well as things we spend time on we no longer need or want to do.

Plus habits, beliefs etc. As the poem says!

I wrote all the things down on a sheet of paper I spend time on, and then circled what I must do and want to do. I found there were things I‘ve been doing I don’t have to, and that I don’t truly want to.

What works for me may not work for you 💜
