The kittens were going to get a little halibut filet as a Christmas treat. But overnight they broke into the food bin and ate more than half of a brand new large bag of minnows so that’s their treat now! Totally my fault didn’t latch it hard or close closet completely. Still not used to smart cats.

The rain stopped and I got the cat food! Picked up some fish treats that are little fillets as a present for them too.

Meg really surprised me being wary of kids. My friend’s kid is pretty quiet but she still only came out for a second and then hid. Even minnows didn’t tempt her out.

I had my friend and her 3 year old daughter over for a little bit. Meg came out for a sec and hid. I thought Coop was staying hidden but it turned out I accidentally shut him in the closet before I left. Didn’t realize he was trapped til I went looking. Poor baby. He’s ok it was only an hour or so.

I have a 2pm meeting today which is diabolical but overall today hasn’t been too busy. Just a few more hours left until 2 week break.

Doing an at-home sleep study tonight. I had to go get it but they gave me a little watch thingy that I don’t even have to return. This part of the 21st century is good.

There’s a huge herd of children (teens) taking BART with me today for a field trip. They are not going into the city apparently. Or maybe gathering for the next one. I can’t imagine trying to chaperone all of them.

I just had to use dictation to get how to spell “repetitive” if you want a sense of where my brain is at. I couldn’t even get close enough for autocorrect.

Actually really sad right now!!
It's with heavy hearts that we share that Claude, our beloved albino alligator, has passed away at the age of 30. Claude brought joy to millions of people at the Academy and across the world during his 17 year tenure. We will miss him dearly. 🤍

It is super common people come back and work here again for my job after leaving (which is such a sign it’s a decent place). I think my coworker just set a record he only left for 3 months 😹

I made a Poki bowl for dinner and this is my reminder to myself to do that more. Sushi rice in the rice cooker, a handful of chopped veg and packaged smoked salmon and done. I used baby carrots, baby cukes, and tomatoes this time. Topped with kewpie mayo and sriracha.
