Tbf movie critics/reviewers are one thing, I get that it's their job etc. Other content creators/ randoms that say they didn't like the 1st movie, but went to see 2nd are laughable at best.

The level of insecurity displayed should be influenced by the setting. It's okay for them to be e.g. wearing skimpy clothes around friends, but oversized ones at work.
It's not something that a person thinks about 24/7/365. Every thought about their looks shouldn't be accompanied by "but xyz".

I feel like a lot of folks tend to overcompensate to try not to fall into "insecure fatty" and accidentally go into "almost narcissistic fatboss" stereotype...
It's *okay* for the character to be fat and insecure, just don't make it their defining characteristic.

Can't believe I actually found another person who has visual snow! For a long time I blamed astigmatism for the weird "pixel/static-like texture" to my vision.

Artists really can't win, no matter what we do or don't do, especially if they have in any way more simplified or toony style.
