Am I the only one who finds it kinda funny and poetic that, one of the only times “Kill” wins the “Save or Kill the animals” bid war that always happens with Super Metroid at GDQ events, it raised exactly $666 overall?

That aside, that was an incredible run and commentary~! #BTB2026

In the many years I’ve lived here in Pinellas County, I have NEVER seen this icon in our forecast, lmao.

Sunday: Snow.

Pinellas MAY get mixed rain and snow while the areas east and west MAY get snow flurries.

The last time it snowed here was January 19, 1977, with a measly 0.2 inches (5.08 mm).

Well, it’s been four years for me with this Bluetooth transceiver. o7s in the chat.

The device got unusually hot when I charged it just a bit ago, and the back panel is visibly deformed, so what we’ve got here is a good old-fashioned spicy pillow.

The 04:00 AQI update has soared Tampa’s AQI to almost 210. Wow.

Once again, pollution from fireworks can be pretty damn awful. I wish I had a screenshot of what this map looks like normally. It’s usually almost entirely green with minor yellow lines on the roads and downtown.
January 1, 2026 at 9:20 AM
AQI map of Tampa Bay as of 02:00. The sensors are finally starting to see the extent of the pollution. My area SHOWS 120, but it should be closer to Tampa’s 172. Per the Health app:

“Everyone may begin to experience health effects. Members of sensitive groups may experience more severe effects.”
January 1, 2026 at 7:26 AM
Holy fuck. Reports of one deceased and two sent to the burn unit and Tampa General. Oh god.
August 12, 2025 at 7:35 PM
Holy crap. From the Neighbors app. Power pole really did fall against the power lines. Seeing as there’s an ambulance… maybe they did get hurt. Hope they’re okay.

Multiple fire trucks (2 or 3) and 1 ambulance.

OH MY FUCKING GOD THIS IS THE FIRST ACTUAL PIECE OF GOOD NEWS I’VE HEARD IN A WHILE. HOLY CRAP.

The State Department approved my passport correction application. The correction was for my gender marker. I’m sure it’s not at all obvious from my Display Name here on bsky why I wanted that, lmao.
July 26, 2025 at 6:19 AM
Lmao, you know a storm’s gonna be bad if the NWC can issue a Severe TS Warning an hour in advance.
July 14, 2025 at 10:45 PM
The hail melted, so there’s tiny puddles by the wall.

It’s so surreal to have 80 to 90 °F temps (27 to 32 °C) and be able to just go outside and scoop ice off the effing ground.

How is this only my second hailstorm, lmao?
June 25, 2025 at 11:41 PM
(See alt text of first image for full text of alert)
June 25, 2025 at 11:23 PM
Hail. Wow. Severe thunderstorm warning.
June 25, 2025 at 11:23 PM
Lightning and rain’s picking up again. God… I hate how you can hear the difference between rain and hail.

NWS just issued a severe thunderstorm warning almost certainly for the hail on the second radar image (red)

Can’t seem to get the warning polygon to show, lol.

More hail now.
June 25, 2025 at 11:16 PM
Oh. Nice. My second hailstorm. Pea sized hail. Lmao, was wondering what the clinking sounds were and I started seeing nature’s ice maker working its magic.

And shit… power bump. My UPS battery is kinda fried, so my computer just lost power.

Currently only have a special weather statement.

I like to add the diffs for the edits that added such ambiguities so I can see the edit summary and page as of that edit. Often, this makes things much clearer. Ideally, it prevents confusion for other editors later on.

Why am I only now finding this tool on XTools…? I’ve spent many dozens of minutes a number of times searching for edits that introduced a problematic piece of text. (Often, text that is unclear, not vandalism.) This would’ve made my life so much easier.
June 17, 2025 at 2:55 AM
My one edit to fix that, even after adding a bunch of text with it, REMOVED 1,778 CHARACTERS.

You aren’t supposed to use bold for emphasis on WP, for context.

Especially not here, where you can barely see that emphasis to begin with! Screen readers often don’t announce emphasis, too.

PSA 1: Turn on app-based 2FA, FFS.
PSA 2: If all your accounts in the MS Authenticator app have app 2FA, disable notifications from showing up on screen—have them silently delivered (so you have to go out of your way to accidentally click approve versus accidentally doing so to dismiss the alert).
March 31, 2025 at 9:28 AM
If anyone cares for an update, the admin who article banned that user, they banned the second account for being a sock (on the grounds of WP:DUCK). The SPI is still open. The page, also, has been rolled back, which is something I warned them would likely happen if they kept being stubborn like this.
March 6, 2025 at 6:37 PM
Oh, okay, so, for this bullshit gutting of the government, anyone trump appoints is exempt (section 6, items 3 and 4). Okay then. Not at all politically motivated.

God, this email is full of so many lies. Section 3 item 7. Item 7 in plain English: “We want to destroy the govt. employee union.”

This was the original design of Sprite Zero—which is IMPOSSIBLE to mix up with normal Sprite.

Don’t they already do stripes for coke flavors or something? Could it have killed them to put ANYTHING ELSE on the can/bottle to make it more obvious? Or was getting them mixed up the intention?
February 22, 2025 at 7:48 PM
I genuinely want to strangle whoever thought that THIS redesign was okay. However, I don’t have an issue with the REGULAR design.

My issue is with Sprite Zero. Black on green has AWFUL contrast. The cans look near identical. It’s incredibly easy to mix them up if you aren’t paying attention.

Notably, monogram, trigram, and pentalateral are also words, but don’t mean what you would think.

Past this, however, I do agree that Congress’s WAY too old. I just feel like *this* argument’s weak. A better one is, eg, Granger living in a senior living facility and missing 6mo of votes (3/3)
February 21, 2025 at 9:26 AM
Not to defend him, but “trigon” IS a word, and it IS synonymous with “triangle”. It’s just rare. They both come from words meaning “3-angled”. “Trilateral” means similar, from “3-sided”.

Whether or not he knew this is a whole different debate, though. One in which I’m not on his side. (1/3)
February 21, 2025 at 9:26 AM
That’s well past the limit for what’s physically possible on earth, I’m pretty sure.
(Look up Typhoon Tip, which has the record for the largest tropical cyclone)

AMOC collapsing would cause SOME cooling, but probably nowhere near enough for an ice age. Cooling would be localized to Europe.
