Boston honors the memories of those killed in the tragic events of September 11th, including those aboard AA Flight 11 and UA Flight 175, which had departed from Logan Airport. We hold the loved ones of those lost close and remember the courage and care shown by Americans in service of one another.

As part of this week's events commemorating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Marine Corps, military vehicles, including Humvees, light armored vehicles, and helicopters, will be present in the City of Boston.
The noise caused by helicopters and other military vehicles can be extremely loud.
PLEASE BE AWARE
Wednesday, August 20
Helicopters will land in the Boston Common in the early evening.
Thursday, August 21
There will be a military flyover around 10:45 a.m.

On Day 1 of the Heat Emergency in Boston, call volume increased more than 7% with Boston EMS members responding to 414 incidents. As Chief Jim Hooley always says, “Extreme heat is the great equalizer.” No matter your age or medical condition, this heat can take a toll. Please take care of yourself.
