My Dad called our GP Surgery this morning, 1st in the queue but told there are no more appointments today, he's been trying to get an appointment for a week now. Went to do the online triage form for him and no spaces for that either. No wonder people end up going to A&E

The government is considering removing EHCPs for pupils with SEND in mainstream schools. SNJ team member Rachel Filmer has started a petition to call for the protection of disabled children’s rights.

Such a good morning today at @ntfc.bsky.social for their Cobblers Cup 🤩 The boys were buzzing to be playing at the stadium and had the best time 🙌🏼

Biggest off school again today, he was sick last night but seems good today 🙌🏼 he's complained about not going to school because he's 'fine', is snacking as usual and has asked if we are having kfc for dinner 😅 (nope)

Also I don't have that mum thing where you can tell someone's temperature with just your hand, I literally need a thermometer.... how do I get these skills 🫠😩

Wish I was one of those mums that just doesn't panic, or doesn't seem to anyway. My mum is always calm no matter what.

My biggest is off school today poorly, can't verbalise how he feels and I just panic

Iv spent £48 so far on plastic ballpit balls 🙈 and i still don't have enough 😩 iv had to buy a big pool so that my 8 year old can lay in it and then need enough balls so that he can get the sensory feedback he needs from them, but everything adds up and is so expensive 🫠

Jeez this is awful. Resolution Foundation warns changes to rules for PIP disability benefit could cost up to 1.2m people between £4,200 and £6,300 a year. What is this government thinking? Has it gone completely mad?

Sometimes working doesn't help mental health because employers dont help. I remember when I was struggling with depression my manager talking about how she was dating someone with bi-polar and saying to me 'well, you know about that'.

A reminder to my disabled friends.

Your value is not based on your productivity. Your bodies & minds are valid, beautiful & important just as they are.

You are worthy of love, deserve comfort, joy and safety.

We will fight ableist narratives about our lives. You're not alone #DisabilityJustice

The ignorance from people around PIP and DLA is genuinely heartbreaking. The way some people online talk about disabled people is disgusting 💔
