No every candidate would say they were pro NJEA to get their backing. There's a difference. Murphy did some good for teachers but there's a long line of governors on both sides who didn't.

The union uses some of the unions money to support the candidate that would best represent their interests....which other candidate would best support teacher's interests....

One makes it sound like he's using unions dues that are supposed to go to other things for himself whereas he's using the union dues that go into funding political campaigns to fund his political campaign. It's not crazy or improper the first one makes it sound like he's stealing money.

Those guys are an anti teachers union pac not a research center.

Ah yes the NJEA that controls the schools being open or closed. I forgot about the massive amount of strikes they held to keep the schools closed. Not the school boards or state government.

The NJEA puts funds aside to support politicians who support their cause.
Them spending millions on him isn't crazy if he's seriously running. I don't know a ton about him but I agree the implication he is misappropriating union funds is nonsense

I mean if it's coming from the PAC money they use then that's fine, that money is going to some candidate and why wouldn't they support the candidate who will best support their interests.

Is there any evidence he is using union dues to pay for his campaign? The only things I've seen are from Sunlight Policy Center which is a very anti-teacher and anti-union advocacy group.
Haven't seen much from most candidates but the right answer can't be Sweeny.
