I started attending more events - the Remembrance ceremony, Town Halls, Pride marches; I quit my Marketing job and threw myself entirely into activism.

On my last visit to the Pulse memorial, I once again left a message: "There are no words. Only action. Keep dancing, keep fighting 🖤"

I visited the memorial a handful of times while I lived in the Orlando area, and every time it refueled my fire to keep going, to become even more of an advocate for my community - to do more.

Being in that space reaffirmed my dedication to the fight, even amidst the intense fear I still carried, and I left my own message on that first visit: "I'm scared all the time. All you wanted to do is dance... I will try to dance for you."

I just sat and existed in that space for a while, thinking of those lost lives, of the loved ones they left behind...

I stared at the pictures of a community coming together to mourn something so heavy and horrible and tragic. I looked at each of the 49 names and faces, thought about how many more carried this heaviness in their hearts.

Sir you literally erased the word Transgender from every website and Stonewall National Monument itself.

You can delete words on a webpage but you can't remove us. A society without trans people has NEVER existed and will NEVER exist.

THIS trans person got a pride tattoo *yesterday* to honor our history (can't delete that). THIS trans person visited Stonewall, touched loose bricks in the ground, felt the significance of physically standing in a place so pivotal 2 our fight. This trans person will STILL BE TRANS when they go back.

Stonewall happened BECAUSE of TRANSGENDER people - especially *TRANS women of color.* There is no LGB without the T.

You're on the wrong side of history. SHAME ON YOU. We will remember who betrayed us. And we will keep fighting, and existing, regardless of your harmful and disgusting actions.

Despite all the chaos, fear, anger, & hurt rn, I'm fully embracing this joy. I have to. And despite w/e those hateful extremists put on paper, whatever they delete from websites, I'm still here, I'm still fighting, & I'm not going anywhere. Trans & nonbinary people always have & always will exist.
