It's April first right?
Apple has made a $230 iPhone sock 😅 the iPhone Pocket is actually a knitted bag, and Apple will start selling it on Friday www.theverge.com/news/818328/...
Apple made a $230 crossbody… sock
The iPhone Pocket isn’t really a pocket at all.

Can you hear the difference? Strap on some headphones and give it a try... Can people actually distinguish between different bitrates of modern audio compression? Rather than relying on ego / reddit / forum debates I built a proper double-blind test! thoughts.encosion.com/2025/11/11/c...
Can you hear the difference?
I've always been curious about audio compression: at what bitrate does Opus become truly transparent? Can most people actually distinguish between 96kbps or 160...

I asked Claude to describe this old mixtape of mine in case people didn't recognise any of the artists. I thought it would come up with a short description, instead it wrote an entire essay... thoughts.encosion.com/2025/11/01/a...

Thinking about my late 90's introduction to website building with a 2nd hand copy of an older Photoshop version (3.0?) that my friends and I clubbed together to buy... Building sites with notepad.exe and later HotDog for a local ISP

Mates of State seared into my brain from many years ago. In a good way. This is a long forgotten venue - the Arts Cafe, London (I remember seeing @davebazan.bsky.social there - I think?)

Highly recommend catching Hades Town in the West End. They really brought @anaismitchell.bsky.social's baby to life!

A very much younger me once had tickets to see Samiam. I ditched them after listening to a couple of Oxes MP3s online. I remember thinking it could be a mistake. It wasn't. Still one of my favourites. Even made a life long friend recognising a stranger in an Oxes tee at a greasy spoon in Shoreditch

22 years ago... What a show, what a line-up: @sagefrancis.bsky.social, Themselves @doseone.bsky.social and Sole. Anticon always brought their A-game to the UK. No filler.

I had some delicious Double Dark Rum with "organic Blackstrap molasses" last night at the wonderful Two Tails pop-up in Heathfield, East Sussex – all locally sourced: murrayyeatman.com/shop/rum/dar...
Dark Rum 70cl - The process method dates back to 1651.

One of my last gig photography assignments (10 years ago!?!) as a photographer was capturing some of the-behind-scenes magic and the intense performance of @jennyhval.bsky.social at the wonderful @cafeotodalston.bsky.social encosion.com/post/1217798...

That's a big number: "one in eight U.S. adults are using semaglutide-based weight loss drugs" -- qz.com/ozempic-weig...
Weight loss drugs are squeezing the food industry
People who take GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic eat far fewer snacks. The long-term business implications could be massive
