Are you curious about 2025's music but afraid of getting overwhelmed by a big list? You are in luck! I made this list and it will only show you 10. If you don't like the 10 you see, refresh the page and you'll get a different 10

I am beginning to think it is too easy for people to become confident
endaural.com
I was interpreting it the statement as saying "based on staff members direct contact and intervention" rather than "staff being involved in the inciting incident", based on the labeler needing to put out a message that this was not due to staff contact. It was a real belief and it led to harassment
endaural.com
You don't have to go beyond the deleted post to see "why did you delete the proof that you getting rid of the labeler cause of the staff?", and that's the thing I'm talking about. There was no conspiring with the staff on this. It never happened.
endaural.com
The conspiracy talk is at the top of this thread, before the deleted post.

She has the right to conclude that her work was contributing negatively to the atmosphere on this site. It's fair to disagree but she got much more than disagreement in return, and that's bullshit.
endaural.com
I think it's more the accusations of being part of some transphobic conspiracy within the Bluesky corporate entity, and the way it makes people feel justified to bring full aggression, that brought things into harassment territory. It seems like it'd be good to not immediately assume the worst
endaural.com
The challenge for me is that I feel so much of it depends on where someone is currently, like the right playlist for one might completely scare off someone else. I find it easier to do on a site like pubby.club where ppl take turns playing songs, you can see where someone is and nudge em in response

It can be tough to manage for sure. But it might help to say something more publicly that makes your position clear in the way you've clarified it for me, and deleting the post I linked. Because people are reading this & your posts as a defense of calling trans women malebrained
endaural.com
To err is human! I appreciate you clairfying here, because the posting that I had seen made it appear as though you saw nothing wrong with saying something like that. All this online communication stuff gets so muddled, it's rough.
endaural.com
But the linked comment isn't a part of what you're screenshotting, and I think the context that it actually sits in is leading people to conclude that you were saying "this trans woman is being so malebrained rn", which I think is a huge part of why you're seeing the response you're getting.

Thank you so much for sharing this, just had a very nice time listening! Really great stuff, especially loved Cardinal, it's so nice the way the voice is like a stablizing force while the guitar goes off on little walks (but never too far!), looking forward to spending some time with this!!

Maybe I'm mistaken here, I'm talking about this post. Who were you talking about here?

Seriously, the egos of cishet white men the lot of them

And thats, pretty much the worst insult imo
endaural.com
I am engaging purely because I want to know more about your position. I saw the full context, and I think it is inappropriate to say a trans woman is behaving like a cishet man. You say you'd say it about a cis woman too, but that wouldn't be reinforcing societal transphobia. Doesn't that matter?
endaural.com
I'm not trying to add on to a pile on here, but do you really see nothing wrong with what you said? I think it is worth reconsidering
endaural.com
It's fucked up and transphobic to say this kind of stuff about a trans woman though. You are not immune from engaging in transphobia
endaural.com
I'm curious about your position here. Why bother claiming to consider trans rights as important? Do you think you are fooling anyone? Why not just go mask off? Do you think that we'll see someone advocating to roll back trans rights, and think "oh he's just lying and will restore our rights later"?
endaural.com
But what if it was very easily demonstrated that someone was directing harassment offsite? It seems weird to say "we can never act on this, even when it's simple, because it *could* be complex"

The new one from Kelly Moran opens up with synths and piano that feel so *wrong* for being so perfect. It's such a relief when the prepared piano kicks in and gets some noise in the signal. Weirdly, I didn't feel this way with the last album, where it was fully absent! This music calls out for it.

This one from Albumen is a virtually assembled free improv album that's sort of like The Feed-back (1970), in that it does feature some rock drumming and accessible features in the midst of all the explorations. Though this spends more time on going out. But still, very friendly, you should listen!

Nuke Watch have a spacey weirdness that reminds me of some of the quieter moments from Black Dice, though this is a bit more organic. This is the kind of psychedelic music where, if people hear you listen to this, they'll think you know about drugs. Good thing it sounds great on headphones!

There's a new series launching of Linda Catlin Smith solo piano pieces performed by Cheryl Duvall. Smith's compositions often evoke moving thru a space and it's especially strong here, with unidirectional sequences of notes that can map to limbs and patterns that evoke consistent terrain. Very nice!

This new Upchuck album is the kind of punk that makes me immediately go look up concert dates, this energy seems like it would be amazing in person. Though it's amazing on record too!! It's like they're spilling all over the place without ever getting less full. There's a focus that burns through.

The electronics go *violent* on this collab between Lime68k & Nathan Ho. We're talking "entities of pure energy grabbing at open space and pulling open a tear" types of moments. The structure offers some good variety with solo tracks mixed in, but both artists are clearly on the same page here.

Oh yeah that Nondi_ is in my cart for today, so good!! Looking forward to checking that Upchuck too, got totally into the quieter headspace for most of today but I'm working my way into the louder now, so that should be soon. Kliche is totally new to me, will check!

Kinlaw & Franco Franco have some sonically warped Italian language hip hop. It's not all a "scary" style freakout sound, there's tender emotional moments and stuff you could dance to, but not a second of it sounds clean. If you like to hear how far out a sound can get sent, this one is a treat!

I'm not sure what to make of this Mark Fell album. Don't get me wrong, it's good music. But what does this psuedostasis of acoustic plucks and tones have to do with Fell's previous work? Even that Intra one feels like a completely different beast. I don't understand how this works. But I want to!
