I care about human rights & dignity for all. Even when we have different faiths, skin color, gender, sexual orientation, places of birth, opinions about the Middle East, physical or mental limitations, criminal history, and even thoughts on how we fix the economy and climate. Can you say the same?

You’re at much greater risk of harm from the actions of the federal government right now than from anyone on the sex offense registry. #EndTheRegistry

1) no, Trump isn’t on the registry 2) the registry is an ineffective tool that doesn’t provide safety, but it does cause harm— preventing healing & seriously hurting families of people on it 3)it’s spelled registry, not registery. #EndTheRegistry. Trump is more dangerous than most on it.

Trump convicted of sexual assault. ABC uses the wrong legal term. Trump sues ABC. ABC pays. The public takes sides.

The voices talking about systemic changes needed to prevent sexual assault in the first place are drowned out.

Hunter's pardon better be the first of a huge flurry of commutations. There are so many cases even more deserving than this one that the Pardon Attorney has recommended granting, and they're just waiting for Biden's signature. It would be inexcusable to see injustice only when it's a family member.

I am not mad about Biden pardoning his son, I am mad about him ONLY pardoning his son.

There are thousands of petitions that have been sitting on his desk for his whole term, he promised to end the federal death penalty, + all the crack v. powder folks still sitting in prison

Disappointing!

This article is from September— but I’m thinking about pardons today.

It is more important than ever in an era of grossly excessive punishments and mass incarceration.

Everyone should be treated with dignity. Everyone should be granted a second chance. Not everyone is ready for that second chance—-but many are. Don’t judge the many by the misdeeds of those who aren’t ready.

49.9% vs 48.3% =
mandate?!? I don’t think so.

I recently reentered the job market. Thought I was going to land in the first month-advanced as 3rd round candidate as CFO of a portfolio of funeral homes. Interview was canceled - because of my criminal record which was pardoned/expunged in early 2021! So much for “clean slate.”
