All other Okawara TV suits I love

but Okawara's aesthetic for the Heavyarms just doesn't mesh--even if TV Heavyarms has one of the absolute coolest Heavyarms moments (saber in the elbow). Katoki slams the Heavyarms out of the bloody park and it's not even close. Leopard just--I dunno, it just works

I feel like that's comparing 4k to 2k, whereas 1080 was the benchmark and 720 was the compromise--but I see what you mean

8k is objectively better
But the question is, is it arguably better

I feel like that for 8k you're simply gonna have to have a TV that's insurmountably large to get the effect, and many, many people aren't about to do that--or they'll get a Sam's Club TV for $150 and it defeat the upgrade in quality in the first place

--any time to become defacto, and honestly? it probably never will, not with the fact that DVD is still around. The bit rates and compression for 4k are remarkable, and the upgrade to 8k is truly diminishing returns, doubly so since there doesn't seem to be, like, an equivalent HDR10+ upgrade, too

--grounded? Jeep-ish? Like, CE MK V is more akin to MADOX-01 or anime Starship Troopers than a, what, Abrahams tank or any other piece of equipment. The absence of the "fantasic" is clear to me in the MK VI, and it hurts it

I'll be the first to admit that it could be nostalgia, but man, the MK V is dramatically better than the VI. It just feels more--more "inspired," for what little such a vague accolade counts. And maybe it just comes down to the milky XBOX sheen he has in the OG that makes it feel less... I dunno--

Enjoyed the first episode. Kinda nothing special in itself (being the first ever OVA is baller) but I'm intrigued by the Dallos and haha, MAMA! that opening score is delicious.
