The band actually composing the song and writing the lyrics is important because they did on all their previous work up until now. I wonder why without Chester all of a sudden the floodgates were opened to have all these random songwriters involved.

Heavily bummed out looking at the credits for this Linkin Park album and seeing that basically none of the actual band members are credited for writing lyrics or composing any of these songs except for Emptiness Machine.
Definitely changes my feelings on this album.

#FromZero Is a really dope collection of sounds. It’s showcasing a future of what this band can be without Chester and for the most part it works. There’s definitely some low points but the highs are very high.
I can’t wait to see where they go from here and see how deep this new group can dig.

Good Things Go keeps the tradition of vibey album outro tracks for LP. It broke my brain a little bit. Emily’s vocals on this one just feel right. It makes me excited to hear her sing a lot of the One More Light stuff on tour. She sounds great on these softer pop songs.

IGYEIH brings the energy back up in a big way. Feels very Meteora era in a good way. We’re playing all the hits now and most of them are great. Love this tune.

Two Faced is a full return to Hybrid Theory. Joe Hahn going absolutely crazy on this one and it really works for me. Feels like classic LP.

Overflow is completely different from anything else on the album. Feels like the closest thing so far on this album to going completely pop and has more of the classic LP electronic feels.
This is feeling more and more like a proof of concept of the band with Emily and what they can do with her.

Over each Other is a cool song I’m sure moms are gonna love. Not hating at all, the shit still rips. Just feels like another whole new sound and direction for the band. Awesome to see them trying so much new shit.

Heavy Is The Crown is still literally just Faint 2. Can’t hate it but would probably just listen to Faint instead for this kind of vibe.
