Okay, so like. *Why* isn't Sonic dressed up? I guess he's not into the whole disguising deal, which is respectable.
But when everyone else is wearing some sort of clothing it becomes harder to ignore that Sonic and just Sonic is basically walking around naked lmao

It's subtle, but I like that they imply that Eggman has gotten so good at building robots and mass-producing an army that he no longer needs to hire goons like he did Fang and other lackeys back in the day

I get WHY Knuckles has been so absent from the comic (it's kind of complicated having a main character whose stated purpose in life is staying in one place forever) but it's still a shame. Glad to see him back in the spotlight

If you'd told me we'd get some of the coolest Metal Sonic shots in the Amy 30th anniversary comic of all places, I'd have called you crazy but here we are

Oh for sure, I could go on and on about how brilliant of a character Starline is and just how well he fits the series as a thematic villain. It's no coincidence he got two miniseries basically centered around himself, the guy is iconic

The 900th adventure special was absolutely breathtaking. I feel like part of its effect is lost on me, given that I'm a pretty new reader just stumbling upon the huge celebration of 900 issues of Sonic comics across the world and continuities, but it's still really really cool

Luckily, the second half of the issue is simply great. I can't believe they actually managed to establish a meaningful connection between the Silver and Blaze from this timeline, harkening back to their dynamic in '06 while remaining separate versions of the characters. This stuff is great
