I generally consider myself up to date with what's going on with the online world, I genuinely thought CSAM was something to do with Chainsaw Man until the grok stuff started a few weeks ago..

So stoked to watch the performance tomorrow afternoon. Teenage me playing Chrono Trigger on an emulator, cranking up the Zeal map music to max (to the annoyance of everyone in the house) would never have dreamed it!

Today I realized that Pocket Camera is just the Japanese name, not a secret mini version of the device designed for Game Boy Pocket as I'd assumed for the last 25 years..

Amazing, and a great karaoke song for learning to read hiragana fast!

That's so tempting.. this is the second worst time for me to need to be responsibile, only after last year!

Biggest regret cancelling Gimmick 2 physical last year because I was "being responsible," then seeing it for ¥15000 in Nipponbashi..

UK gaming magazines doing their best to deprive kids of Kirby shaped joy in the 2000's..

Adult me: I can finish this in under six hours!!!

It feels like a remaster of a game they forgot to release in 2012. I'm only a few hours in but it's leaning heavily into the things people criticized Prime 3 for, and not enough into what was so beloved about the first two. Such a strange game..

As ever The Simpsons did this bit thirty years ago

Gervais taught teenage me I should always look down on people and generally act like a huge asshole. Twenty years later I and most his audience grew up while he stayed exactly the same person.
If I were a perpetual teenager I'd also pretend to care about animals or something for cover

Very specific detail, but for people who only have access to the Japanese Nintendo eShop it appears the Switch 2 upgrade also adds full english support, which the Switch version is lacking

Once again bringing up how last year WPS Office replaced spell check with a useless AI word guesser, then locked all AI features behind a paywall without putting the original spell check back. Basic, decades old features just gone because line must go up

Another excuse to post this double bill from a few years back, in case anyone still doesn't know exactly where Carmack's values lie..

It's super easy when all you glance and see Mario Kart on rails, then spend zero time engaging with what the game actually *is.* The early 2000's magazine deadlines found an easy sacrifice in Kirby..

This review is wild reading nowadays, not just for the "humour." It's what convinced teenage me I didn't need to buy Kirby Air Ride for £12.99, shortly before watching the price increase to £80, then £140, then god knows where it is now. Regrets were had.

I wish it wasn't true I genuinely don't feel enthusiastic for playing the game when I see this. I never got around to Bakeru or Cadence of Hyrule either thanks to this curse

I didn't think I could have a worse experience than teenage me going into Tyrant unprepared, but 20 years later the whole game has aged pretty poorly. When you grow out of Wesker matrix fights, there's little left to make all the backtracking and constant poison bug corridors worth the effort

When I replayed this recently it only took around ten hours to complete but for some reason felt twice as long as it needed to be. I was getting so tired by the end, both locations managed to outstay their welcome by an hour or two..

Will take any opportunity to get angry about how my word processor replaced spell check with a useless AI word guesser, then gated all AI tools behind a paywall. Didn't even leave the classic, decades old check behind. Just a basic feature gone
