Health care is an issue today because old people are the folks that need it. In previous generations we just died. Now we want young folks to help pay for it. Why doesn't this come up when we talk about health care?

#science, seems to me we need to adopt a word that means multi-disciplinary science. Popular science literature likes using the word scientists, but it doesn't necessarily capture multidisciplinary.
