A Sunrise
I watched the sun rise
On that chilly morning that was oh so bright,
And I heard the wind’s sighs
dwell upon the entrancing light.
I watched the two birds on the tree branch
Both of which had a lingering gaze,
And my heart suddenly felt an avalanche
as it missed our splendorous days.
