When a Supreme Court case involves a young person, they’re named by their initials, even if they speak publicly about the case— hence, “West Virginia v. B.P.J.” So these “TEAM B.P.J” foam fingers from @lambdalegal.org were just perfect for cheering on a student athlete. Love it. Go Becky!

Power move today from @repmarktakano.bsky.social: He and Linda McMahon were speaking to dueling rallies in front of the Supreme Court. He went off-script and faced her: “Did you hear me, Sec. McMahon? Trans kids have a right to free and equal access to education!…Restore the Office of Civil Rights!”

Beautiful speech from @markey.senate.gov today at SCOTUS: “I am here because trans kids deserve more than to be debated on cable news. Trans kids deserve joy. Trans kids deserve support…I want you to know that you are loved… I will always stand with you.”

At the Capitol, a group of fired and furloughed federal employees are telling Democrats — Hold the line! Don’t cave in our name!

Vote NO on the CR!

In with these matching flowers is a paper torch from one of the early Indivisible groups in Maine. They marched in parades dressed as Statues of Liberty, I believe in response to the last travel ban. (😡😭) They later helped flip Collins on the ACA.

Stole it from the office around 2020. No regrets.

“Strategy” came from a series of famous prints from the theater group Bread And Puppet.

I asked about the plant pictured on it, and was told it’s brussels sprouts. Awesome. Why not.

Whatever we do, may the brussels sprouts of strategy be our guide.

I am in love with this painting, which is called Autumn On Loaches. My road tripping heart!

I saw it in a coffee shop in Colorado, snapped a photo, remained obsessed, and reached out to the artist like a year later and it was still free. The artist is here:

Tonight’s training session on media for #NoKings hosts was fabulous. What a privilege to get to work with so many people, from so many cities and small towns, with so many different ideas. It’s going to be beautiful.

I got asked about the art behind me, and said I’d post about it here...🧵

Phew. Rachel Maddow’s first segment tonight comparing the tiny sad resume of Pete Hegseth with the epic resume of the outgoing Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was the perfect chaser after a disgusting day of “what if it was DEI” racism. @maddow.msnbc.com
