This was the movie that got younger me into appreciating even older movies than Night of the Living Dead. Insane soundtrack, beautifully-done animated portions for large shots of the city, great set design. You can tell Looking Glass was in love with this movie when they made Thief 2.

As time's gone on and I rewatch this I realize how it's nowhere near perfect, but I continue to have fun showing people this weirdass movie. Could be nostalgia making it fun, but I ain't care, it's a classic to me.

Say what you will about the story getting a little wacky in the second half, but the action scenes (John Woo, holy shit) are unmatched. Also weirdly high quality for 2007, the brushed stainless steel on Briareos is crazy to see.

Haven't ever seen much talk about this one, very eerie and contemplative kind of tone that I couldn't stop thinking back to when I played Bloodborne of all things.

I love both Night and Day in their own ways, but Dawn always seems to win out for me when I need the zombie itch scratched. Can't beat The Gonk, either.

No explanation needed beyond having watched this movie about 74 times throughout my life and yet I still find myself noticing new details about it

Based off one of my favorite novels of all time and every adaptation of it does something a little different, but the first movie will always be the most iconic to me (The Omega Man was great, too)
