Surface tension, coasters that have some kind of grooves on the glass resting surface should help

I don't have very steady hands. I've learned to embrace it, greebling is easy peasy, and the way I draw fur hides imperfections well too. There is no one right way to make art, you just need to pick up a pencil and find what works best for you

You can use vintage lenses on your current camera, but you'll be slightly more "zoomed in" than you expect. With APS-C size sensors (sony) with vintage/full frame lenses, you multiply the mm measurement by 1.5. A 300mm lens will be like 450mm

Seems to me like it depends what you value most. 24 megapixel is still pretty good, my main camera is 14.2 MP (Sony a350) and it takes beautiful pictures, even with vintage lenses. What you're choosing between here is ability to crop photos (40mp) and greater lens flexibility and wider shots (24mp).
