Not only are we extremely siloed in our preferred media bubbles, but interested parties, including foreign countries that want America to be dysfunctional, push stuff to keep us unhinged, and social media algorithms amplify their propaganda.

America needs a time-out, but I hope we haven't gone to the dark side forever. Trump envisions a world ruled by three autocracies--Russia, China, and the US. Most Americans would really hate to live in that world, so please don't give up on us just yet.

How different this situation would be if Kamala had won. She was more hawkish than Biden, definitely would have been tough on Putin. We likely wouldn't be seeing those brazen drone incursions into European airspace.

After the '08 crash when banks got bailed and Main Street got billed, people across the political spectrum came together to say no more--tax the wealthy more.
And then the Tea Party movement came (with Koch brothers' backing), and we delved right back into partisan politics.
