These numbers come from the GRADE model, built by researchers at St Andrews and Leicester. It shows how changes in government revenue affect Sustainable Development Goals across nearly every country.

For $1 billion in additional government revenue, countries could deliver on average:
💧 140,140 people gaining basic water access
📚 258,563 more children in school
💡 1,241,472 more people with electricity
🏥 31,616 more nurses
👩‍🏫 11,855 more teachers
…plus improvements across the whole budget.

At every extra billion on the tracker, the site shows what that money could buy.
For example:
🏰 $1B = Buckingham Palace
🍾 $25B = Fill 200 Olympic swimming pools with champagne
🖼️ $35B = All the art in the Louvre
(Obviously, none of these are actually for sale!)
