Since the full name is "floppy disk", it all depends on what part people preferred to shorten it to.
In Norway most of us just called them "Diskett".
"Floppy" (Flåppi!) just wouldn't really work here, its not very Norwegian sounding and our Language Council (An actual thing) would be against it.

I have heard there are less people here and therefore less activity, but I was never as "popular" on xitter as I am here now, and that with less engagement. And so far people tend to be nicer. Which makes me calmer.
