As of right now, there are 16 Republicans who are a NO. It’s most likely going to change but this bill is going to put a lot of pressure on Republicans in very swingy districts. The town halls will be brutal to say the least

There is news coming out from Texas that the state legislature is already making plans to gerrymander the districts more than they already are so they win more seats for the 2026 midterms. It’s happening.

The only hope I have is that when the Hoover administration destroyed this country, Democrats controlled the White House and Congress for damn near 20 years. Rand Paul even pointed this out just the other day. They know the heat is coming

And there is no process outlined by the Constitution that gives Congress the power to call a convention. Only 2/3 of the state legislatures can do it. It’s a performative move

There is zero chance this works if you actually read how this is done. It requires 2/3 of the state legislatures to call the convention, then once the amendment is proposed it takes 3/4 of the states to approve it.

There is zero legal methods for this to happen and the Supreme Court would rule 9-0 against Trump. Then a majority of the states would refuse to put him on the ballot. It’s a nothing burger that he keeps pushing
