i saw this and suddenly the clock in the corner of my screen advanced by several minutes

imo, the first few seasons felt like they had a stronger voice and kept me engaged even through the rough moments. in the second half of season 4 and so far in 5, the show is trying desperately to convince you that what's happening is exciting and interesting, without any of the actual substance.
