Pardon the Insane Corruption

Exactly. Only one of those two people was actually elected by the people and it’s not Patel.

Good point. The story also specifically said Bolton had “no comment” but I wonder if that’s something journos do to obscure a source.

At least Kyrgios has some passion and the rest of his personality is fiery. Medvedev is just a sore loser and this seems to be his “schtick” vs passion for the sport

Exactly. The minute I read Bessent and Lutnick were on Air Force One heading to Alaska with Trump it was obvious what this was all about. Wasn’t Hegseth not even on the plane initially? This was not about Ukraine.
August 17, 2025 at 1:23 AM
Idk who’s worse though. I mean clearly Trump is worse but Vance is a conniving little prick
August 17, 2025 at 1:17 AM
It was obvious when Bessent and Lutnick joined. Why TF would they be there otherwise

Ding ding ding! Yes, we are now no better than Russia
July 19, 2025 at 1:17 AM
Your honesty is refreshing! 😂
July 10, 2025 at 2:31 PM
I mean that’s basically all of Trump / Musk people
July 10, 2025 at 2:04 PM
Even if so, shouldn’t they have at least taken precautions? And you know, not have youngest campers closest to the river in most difficult to evacuate area…

The point is not FAFO. The point is that it’s always the kids paying for the actions of the adults. Not just here but everywhere.

I’m seeing more comments like yours than people actually “laughing” about it. Is this the new virtue signaling?

*no longer exists if you’re of a certain political persuasion or have a certain balance in your bank account.

Huh? One is a choice and has separation enshrined in the constitution. The other is not. What’s next, ban books with black characters?
June 27, 2025 at 8:11 PM
This only demonstrates that no country should give up its nuclear arsenal because who knows how alliances will shape up in the future. And UK and US are directly to blame for this logic as they have failed their end of the bargain.

It’s usually partnerships with local universities. I’m not aware of any degree granting standalone foreign outposts of US unis

It means he’s setting up a run for President and (misguidedly) thinks this is how he appeals to the “middle”. JFC Dems are a mess 😢

Your first comment in this thread was that $2,400 a month is “cheap” — ie you were responding to American au pair salary.
May 30, 2025 at 2:57 PM
I do understand that. But you replied to a discussion of American immigration policy on au pairs, not au pairs more broadly. Ergo your comment will be assumed to relate to that unless you start with “in the UK…”. If we’re talking oranges and you say it’s red, expect people a rebuttal.

What’s the legal ground again? I thought lower court ruling was that they can’t revoke en masse, which govt appealed saying case by case was not possible and this ruling is a stay of lower court. So is there any other ground for appeal? Ie how narrow is scotus ruling?

Related but not same. Technically all jobs require training. I guarantee if you ask 100 people whether a camp worker is here for work or education they will say work. Do you disagree?
May 30, 2025 at 2:44 PM
This isn’t a discussion about the UK and for most $2,400 a month isn’t “pocket money”.
May 30, 2025 at 2:42 PM
Hopefully she still has a job at Harvard 😢
May 29, 2025 at 11:43 PM
Training = other work.
