This year's selection has been picked by the Erased Tapes team, featuring standout pieces by Meredith Monk, Rival Consoles, DjRUM, Annahstasia, Herbert & Momoko, Qasim Naqvi, Jimmy Whoo & Lomboy, U, Crayon, Maria Somerville, Sheherazaad, William Tyler, Masayoshi Fujita, DARKSIDE, and many more.

Followed by ensemble 0 who performed Tristan Perich’s Open Symmetry. Daniel Brandt brought his multimedia spectacle Without Us to the fields, whilst New York cult trio Dawn of Midi made their first-ever appearance in Thailand. Qasim Naqvi also appeared solo with a very special modular synth set.

A fixture of the Parisian music scene, Crayon is known for his fluid blend of soul, folk, jazz, hip-hop, and electronic textures. The album features a wide array of guests including Yamê, Rhye, ELIZA, FKJ, Lossapardo, anaiis, Zefire and Swing.

An hour-long symphony in seven movements for organ and 100 speakers in 1-bit audio, it was recorded for this album at London’s Royal Festival Hall at Southbank Centre, where the piece was as visually striking to look at as it was to listen to.

The album reimagines her acclaimed 2022 debut album, Aura, by legendary artists and collaborators, including the godfather of ambient Laraaji, hip hop duo Armand Hammer, composers and electronic producers Jlin, Alex Somers, William Basinski, Emel, Matthew Herbert and Yu Su.

August also marked the 10th anniversary since Erased Tapes’ first took over the Royal Albert Hall, presented by Mary Anne Hobbs and the BBC Proms, with performances from Nils Frahm and A Winged Victory For The Sullen.
