As long as there are true computer scientists out there, these systems will be bypassed in one way or another. It's much easier to make it illegal and dole out severe punishments.

My bet is on micro-hosting, like the "good old days" of BBS. You and your friends' data is on a proprietary server in your basement. Internet connected or otherwise. When you switch it off, you cannot be reached and your friends can't contact you. No-one can intercept, monitor or control your data.

I get everyone's frustration with social media like this one. I haven't really read much into the OTHER Bsky, but it already looks like it would not be a good alternative for most NSFW accounts. I fear we are going back to the days of printed zines, effectively cutting off us international furs.

Book two's 1st draft is done! Now to sit on it and re-read it with fresh eyes in a while. I have many other things to work on, though... previous book 2, now book 3, is going to get some heavy re-writes. It feels so good to have revelations on how to improve a book. Glad I'm not rushing this.
