right to complain about it if you want, just trying to offer a different viewpoint as to why even the shows in our fandom we don’t end up liking may be helping the franchise even if we personally don’t like them.

like so many of us were excluded. Yes, there will always be people who are vapid fools who pretend to be bigger fans, or who don’t take the time to understand fandoms at deeper levels, but I’ll also take them so we can reach the person who feels lost until stumbling into our worlds. It’s your 🪡

it just didn’t look like I would enjoy it. These things are not an assault on fandoms, they are an attempt to draw in a wider swath of fans. I get it. I’m an OG geek as well. I would’ve been in the basement comic cons with many Trekkies if I was old enough at the time, but let’s not exclude others 🪡

But I’m not a fan of every episode. And although growing up I thought DS9 was remarkably boring, I may give that a shot as well. You don’t have to like everything. I was a big Moon Knight fan as well, but didn’t watch the show. I don’t hate on people who liked it, they can have their thing 🪡

New shows bring in new fans, and help the franchise continue strong and keep going. I got into Trek because of seeing what a badass Seven was on Picard. That led me to Voyager (still my favorite Trek btw.) But I enjoyed the first 2 seasons of that, but I’m not supposed to, right? I also enjoy SNW, 🪡

Not a concern for me - I was referencing what Matt said. I was actually thinking the other day is he the only president to not have had a dog? But tbh he could have a dog and I still wouldn’t think any more of him - and that bar is very, very, very, very…very, extremely low.

It’s sort of like people don’t mind contributing to government, when said government actually is working for us, and not just finding ways to enrich themselves and their friends by screwing everyone else over. 🤔 Just a thought @democrats.org & you can save yourself some “think” tank time.

Other thing I’m sick of hearing: “Universal healthcare isn’t really that great, there’s all these issues.” Regardless of if that’s true or not, I may want a house in a rain storm, but having a tarp is better than nothing, while people in houses dump buckets of water on my head.
