The Quantum version is a completely different fight. I believe the offerings just increase the hp and dmg though so technically you could experience it at the lowest level and learn all the mechanics there. It's pretty intense compared to the normal version though.

Difficulty is very subjective. I enjoyed the game a lot. There were a couple of choke points throughout but I never felt frustrated by it.
