These oak acorns look perfectly fine. But after about three weeks in the fridge, they haven't grown taproot yet, while others did. Not even a tiny bit. I don't know why.

I love their texture, color, and they're heavy too. So, I still have hope that they'll be beautiful trees one day.

A walk in the forest. I wish the pine trees weren't this much dominant. Biodiversity with deciduous trees is what we need.

Happy International Men's Day!

Marigolds in pots after rain. 🌼 They've done a great job this year. Now that the first frosts came, they'll probably die soon, which means for me collecting their seeds for next spring.

Seeing my acorns growed tiny taproots after just three weeks in the fridge made me happy. I'm "rooting" for them to become healthy oak trees.

Such a joy to help nature grow. I think I was a hobbit in my previous life, or a squirrel. 🌱🐿

The Eurasian Jay, extremely intelligent, they can hide acorns in thousands of places. The few they forget end up growing as trees. Expanding the forest for the next generation. This one got its fill of peanuts by a local feeder!
