Also gonna need a ride of this planet at the pace we are wrecking it so getting to other places and figuring out how to survive there is critical. Defund musk- sure. Feed the hungry- absolutely a need. The place you pull that $ from is defense though.

Gotta challenge this type of thought process. If you look realistically at what the federal budget is, in recent history NASAs budget has been close to 1/2 of 1% annually. The $ they get has extremely high return on investment when considering how many things they do turn into products we use daily
