I took this pic in LA 119 days ago. As this spreads to other cities, my only advice—my ask!—is that people get out there, see it, and document it.

Considering AI, personalized algorithms, and a government dismantling our understanding of reality, objective truth online is DEAD. We need each other.

JLo on Las Culturistas talks about something I found really incredible about KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN -- it's entirely earnest about fan/diva worship, never once pathologizing fandom. Escapism into pop culture IS a survival strategy for queer people. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnjY...

Incredibly, Kiss of the Spider Woman resists pathologizing that fan/diva relationship. A lesser film would’ve included some kind of moralizing — some kind of lesson about how escapism is a denial of reality and can therefore be seen as a moral failing — but this movie isn’t interested in that. This movie understands that escaping into pop culture is a tried-and-true survival strategy for queer people. It’s healing. It works.

I am begging the media to be more specific. "He returned after show was preempted" is an insane way to describe what happened, not to mention incorrect.

He was suspended. There was no show to preempt for nearly a week, and then it was preempted in some markets last night. @abc7.bsky.social
