Looking at the @thevrcawards.bsky.social nominees this year, I feel like requiring nominees to submit themselves for nomination kinda defeats the point of this celebration of talent.

It's browser-based, you can run it on all sorts of devices. I've previously set it up on a Raspberry Pi 3 plugged into a CRT using its AV out.

I didn't make the simulator, I just think it's super cool :)

My grandma got me an Echo Show a few years back thinking I'd be interested in using it.

She was right, it just took a while. And a firmware exploit that let me replace EchoOS with Android.

Naturally, it's now my new Weatherstar display. :)

The Basement got started almost on accident- I did a popup in my homeworld, then a second event for my birthday, then surely people expect a third event?

Quite possibly one of the most ridiculous things I've tried: multiplayer Rocket League with VRchat friends while still in VRchat. We all had our steam overlays open and played that way.

Fun fact: this was also the first time I'd played Rocket League with other Steam users.

Four games that defined my 2025:
VRchat, where admittedly the vast majority of my time this year was spent Daytona USA, both the PS3 version and ZONE's VRchat recreation Ridge Racer PSP emulated on my phone with a Razer Kishi FBC Firebreak, the first Remedy game I successfully got my friends to actually boot up and play

I've said it before and I'll say it again, making advanced sets geared towards adults was the best decision Lego ever made.

I've had the Galaxy Explorer for a bit but got the Blacktron Renegade today to go with it, and these are two of the nicest sets I've ever owned.

Now where do I put these?
10497 Galaxy Explorer (Lego 90th Anniversary). Pardon the dust, I dusted it off but it's been sitting on a table for a few years now. Such a fantastic love letter to the Classic Space theme. 10355 Blacktron Renegade. The ship is modular and has a detaching rover in the middle
