While true, their underlying analytics have been good for a while. The team is *mostly* healthy. Power play is decent and the PK has been #1 in the league all season. Simply saying it's mostly goaltending is an oversimplification.

Sure, but I'm not worried about the term at all. There's lots of options. Trade his contract, buy him out, or he just retires. And the cap is going up! Good teams do this with players all the time! Not to mention he plays the kind of game that can age well and is a great example for young players.

He's a good two-way player, who's getting Selke votes. He's exactly the kind of player this team needs. The cap has gone up, and is going to continue to go up. 10.5 mil is no big deal anymore. They NEED to sign him!

Right. Myself included. He wasn't able to put the finishing touches on good teams. But like said above, he was hampered by a cheap owner.
